Cruise and Rail Travel has provided the following answers to Frequently Asked Questions on No USA Visa Cruises™.

Q: How much does it cost for my family to go on the cruise?

A: The cost of the cruise for a family depends on three things, the type of stateroom you would like, the number of passengers in the stateroom, and the age of the passengers.  Since each family is different, we would not be able to give definitive numbers until you tell us about your family.  For example, two adults in an Inside Stateroom with a child, 7 years old would be an average of $384.00 per person.  However, three adults in an Inside Stateroom would be an average of $490.00 per person.

Q. Why is there a difference in price between two adults and a child in a stateroom and three adults in a Stateroom?  Both examples have three people in a Stateroom.

A.  As we have advertised, Kids Sail FREE! Because there is no cruise fare for minor children, the first two adults pay the full price and the child pays taxes and fees. Therefore, the average cost per person is decreased.  The cost for three adults is different because the first two adults pay the full price and the third adult gets a discount of almost 60% on the cruise fare. However, port charges and taxes apply to the third adult passenger also.

Q.  There are seven of us in the family, how much would it cost for us to be in one Stateroom?

A. Unfortunately, the cruise ship does not have a stateroom to accommodate 7 persons.  You can either book two Staterooms with 2 persons and one with 3 persons, or you can book a Stateroom for 4 persons and one for 3 persons.  However, none of the Staterooms can accommodate more than four persons.

Q. There are four of us in the family. Can we book a Stateroom my wife and me, and book another room for the kids.

A. Minors cannot be assigned to a Stateroom by themselves.  An adult must be assigned to a Stateroom with kids.

Q. How much does the food cost on the Cruise Ship?

A.  Food on a Cruise Ship is free, breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Most Cruise Ships have anywhere from four or more restaurants with different culinary styles, for example, French, Italian, Asian, with foods such as tapas, pizza, burgers and steaks. The Cruise Ship has a kids menu.   If all else fails, just go to the 24 hour buffet.  If you are too tired to leave your Stateroom, there is 24-hour room service.

Q.  I have special dietary needs, will there food for me on the Cruise Ship?

A. If you have any food allergy or a dietary requirement that requires Hallal, Kosher, Vegetarian, Pescatarian meals or gluten-free food product, please advise us at the time of booking. The Cruise Line can accommodate your dietary request if you let us know when you book. You will not be permitted bring aboard any food items that would require preparation by the cruise ship staff, or food items that would require cold storage in the kitchen facilities, or alcoholic beverages.

Q. What is not included in the price of the Cruise?

A. Gambling, alcoholic beverages, sodas, spa treatments, shore excursions are among the few things that are not included with your cruise fare. Your Gratuity or Tip for the personal service staff is not included.  You should note that the cruises ship staff really works hard to pamper you while you are enjoying your cruise, so please plan on tipping them.  It is the right thing to do!

Q.  We would like to go on the Cruise, can we take our Cat, Dog, Parrot or Goldfish?

A. Unfortunately, most major cruise lines don’t allow pets on board unless the pet is a guide or service animal. So unless the Parrot is “Guide Parrot” it cannot go on the cruise.

Q.  When do I pay for my cruise vacation?

A.  A deposit of $100 to $200 per person is required at the time of booking, depending on the length of the cruise and the cruise line. Final payment of the balance must be received at least 65 days prior to the sailing date for 3, 4, or 5-night cruise vacations and 80 days prior to the sailing date for 7-night or longer cruise vacations. For all holiday sailings, (Christmas and New Year’s), payment is due 95 days prior to sailing.

Q. Do you offer payment plans?

A. We offer payment plans for most cruises. However, the January 2013 cruises require full payment within a few days of booking.
